MOB DOES ORAMM!

This past weekend was the 11th Annual Offroad Assault on Mt. Mitchell mountain bike ride and MOB was there to see what all the hoopla was about.  Among the ravenous pack of offroad, beer drinking, thrill seeking sadists were our local shop wrench turners Chucky Love and B-Nice.  What was anticipated by some to be a nice little stroll through the beautiful back-country hills of North Carolina quickly turned into a severe beating that lasted nearly 7 hours.

The ride started at 8:00am in beautiful Old Fort, NC.  Within minutes this glorious ride turned into a mad dash up a 5 mile paved climb to the start of some of the most technical singletrack in NC.

At some point Chucky Love decided to take a snooze in the creek to take the edge off.  Charles is an experienced creek dozer, do not try this at home.

B-nice, finishing well ahead of the first place rider with a time of 2 hours and 40 minutes which would have been a course record had he ridden the entire loop; slightly defeated but well within his element.

MOB Rider of the Week!!!

It's that time again folks! Actually we're a little late, but we still want to recognize the MOB Rider of the week. This week the Grand Prize goes to Anitra Mitchell of Winston-Salem, NC. Anitra was nice enough to join us on our insanely popular Tuesday night special this past week and was lucky enough to have her photo taken by one of our undercover field operatives. Cycle For Life 2010!

Mock Orange Bikes is pleased to announce the Cycle for Life 2010 Ride. It is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at Hanover Park Vineyard in Yadkinville, N.C. This is an amazing event, held a an awesome venue and supports a really good cause. The ride is presented by the North Carolina Stroke Association and helps save lives by promoting awareness and education when it comes Stroke Prevention.
